Opening conference
We would like to invite you to the opening conference of the Czech Children's Book Centre, which will take place on Thursday the 3rd of November 2022 from 3 to 6 pm at Velvyslanectví Norského království( the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway) in Hellichova 1.

The conference, whose motto is Children's Literature as an anchor in a fluid age, will feature presentations by experts in literature for children and youth:
- Ivana Pecháčková, founder of the Czech Children's Book Centre
- Jana Čeňková, co-author of the catalogue The Best Books for Children, FSV UK
- Svein Størksen from the Norwegian publishing house Magikon
- Jitka Jindřišková, translator from Norwegian, Scandinavian House
- Julie Dominika Zemanová, Mravenčí chůva (The Ant Nanny)
- Petr Eliáš, Zlatá stuha (The Golden Ribbon)
- Veronika Benešová Hudečková, 2veverky (2 Squirrels)
- Zdeněk Freisleben, Památník národního písemnictví (Memorial of National Literature)
The capacity of the conference is limited, so please confirm your participation by the 27th of October 2022. The event will be held in the Czech language, the speech of the Norwegian publisher will be translated into Czech by Marta Bartošková.
After the conference we invite you to have a glass of wine at the Centrum české dětské knihy (Czech Children's Book Centre), located at Jánský vršek 5 in Malá Strana.
