The programme is led by the Centre's dramaturge and answers questions that paint a picture of how a small children's publishing house works, what happens to a book before it sees the light of day, how the right illustrator is chosen or which mistakes are most commonly corrected by a proofreader. The programme consists of two parts - in the first part we follow step by step the creation of a book, and in the second part the children have the opportunity to create a book themselves and take it home.

The workshop How is a children's book made? usually lasts 1.5 hours and takes place in the morning at the Centrum české dětské knihy (Czech Children's Book Centre). The programme is especially suitable for pupils at the first level of primary school.
