Bába Bedla - half woman and half mushroom - always appears wherever a child is in trouble. After Bedla helped the children in the story from the end of World War II, this time she wakes up in the Jeseníky of the 17th century.

Markéta Pilátová uses mysterious lichens to travel through different times and places in her new story about Bába Bedla, so that young readers can see not only the Jeseníky but also Granada in Spain, full of fragrant orange trees, and ancient Greece.
The singer, composer, lyricist and artist Martina Trchová once again took care of the illustrations, which deepen the magical narrative. The book is published by Meander.
At the same time, we invite you to an exhibition of original illustrations from the first and second volume of Bába Bedla, which runs from the 2nd of February to the 22nd of March 2023 at the Centrum české dětské knihy (Czech Children's Book Centre).
