About Knížní stezka dětem (The Children's Book Trail)
Knižní stezka dětem (The Children’s Book Trail), z. s. was established by transforming OS Knižní dálnice k dětem (The OS Book Highway to Children) at the end of 2016. Our areas of activity include:
- Promoting reading among children and pupils - organizing literary programs and festivals, author readings, talks, workshops, travelling exhibitions of books, illustrations and reading; we want to enable school libraries to purchase valuable books for children, to enable also socially disadvantaged families and children in orphanages, institutions and hospitals
- Promoting book culture and literature among children - organising activities within the Cetrum české dětské knihy (Czech Children's Book Centre) and the international festival Děti, čtete?! (Children, Do You Read?!)
- Creation of methodological sheets and teaching materials on books for pupils of the primary schools and lower-secondary in cooperation with Nová škola, o. p. s.
- Publishing activities of an educational nature - in cooperation with the Meander publishing house
